myleslong - Expectations of my missions trip.

We were asked to blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I'm expecting...

I'm expecting so many different things to happen on this missions trip, so heres a nice little list:

I've never been out of the country or away from my family for a very long time, so I'm expecting to miss my momma.
I'm expecting to be scared out of my mind on my first plane ride.
I'm expecting to miss all my friends and church family as we are going through a pretty big transitional period right now.
I'm expecting to get my hands dirty.
I'm expecting to smell pretty bad. (my fingers are crossed for this one)
I'm expecting to get beat at sports I've never heard of by children half my size.
I'm expecting to be surrounded by a group of people who will build me up and grow with me.
I'm expecting to wear the same pants for a week.
I'm expecting to be completely broken and completely in awe ,of the things God can do, all at the same time.
I'm expecting God to stretch me out of my comfort zone and ask me to do things I never thought I would do.
I'm expecting to be cold in may and hot in december.
I'm expecting to not shave the whole time.
I'm expecting to make life long friends.
I expect to realize how little of the world I've seen.
I expect to see poverty and destitution.
I expect to finally see what it is Gods been leading me to for three years now.
I expect to update my twitter status way to much.
I expect to take alot of pictures.
I expect to miss playing guitar and mandolin.
And finally I expect to share the gospel and lead people into life changing relationships with a merciful, loving, and perfect God.
